Toshiba and ATS at the Lebanon Pavilion, Expo 2020

Toshiba presented the world’s first multifunction printer with an erasable print function at Expo 2020-Dubai, UAE. The Toshiba ECO / Hybrid Printer could be seen at the Lebanon Pavilion alongside ATS, Toshiba’s local partner in Lebanon.

The first ever of its kind, Toshiba’s Hybrid MFP, pet named Caspian, is able to handle conventional printing & paper reusing in a single system. By using either regular black or erasable blue toner, the new models are capable of printing conventional, permanent documents as well as temporary, erasable documents. Via the unique erase function of the systems, the toner on the temporary documents can be wiped out and the paper can then be reused for printing up to five times before recycling it. This allows the possibility of saving up to 80% of natural resources otherwise needed to print the same volume, not to mention the huge reduction of CO2.

The development of the unique hybrid print technology is yet another confirmation of Toshiba’s strong focus on environmental issues as one of its top management priorities. The e-STUDIO3508LP series has been designed to reduce the carbon footprint of companies and is one of Toshiba’s Excellent Environmentally Friendly Products. It has also won Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab’s Outstanding Achievement in Innovation award.

Pradeep Kumar, General Manager of Toshiba Gulf, thanked Mr Wissam Abbass, General Manager of ATS, and Mr Hassan AlKawas, Director of Imaging Business Solutions at ATS, for taking the initiative to arrange this participation. Sibin Nelson, Country Manager at Toshiba Gulf, proceeded with a live demonstration of the Eco-MFP and ended it with a Q&A session for the audience.
